Frequently Asked Questions

What time can we arrive and leave?

Unlike hotels and resorts, check-in and check-out times are quite flexible in order to help you get the most out of your time in the area and never be rushed. We do, however, ask that arrival times be communicated and updated if necessary so we can plan our own day and be ready and waiting for you. Late-night arrivals are discouraged as they can be disruptive to other guests - and the innkeepers rise early to begin breakfast preparations.

Is breakfast included?

Yes - Breakfasts at The New Brunswick are made with real ingredients and always catered to individual dietary restrictions. It really is the most important meal of the day and we want to start yours off right! A full, hot breakfast is served each morning in our formal dining room where the adventures of the day ahead and those past are planned and shared.

How far are the nearest shops and restaurants?

There are dozens of great restaurants just minutes away for a special night out and no need to drive or pay for a taxi back to The New Brunswick B&B.

Where can we park our car?

Free on-site parking and indoor bicycle storage is provided.

Can we recharge our electric car?

We do not have an EV charging station at our property as we are too small to afford this expense.

There are two Electric Vehicle Charging Stations just a block away - at the WC O’Neill Arena and at the Algonquin Hotel.

Are pets allowed?

Pets cannot be accommodated as a courtesy to other guests who may have allergy concerns.

Is smoking allowed?

We are a completely non-smoking establishment (smoking allowed outdoors)

How is the internet?

High-speed wireless internet (5G)

Are there walking or cycling routes around St. Andrews?

The St. Andrews Van Horne Trail is a paved active-living trail (non-motorized) extending 2.1 km from Water Street to the far side of Katy’s Cove on the old rail bed. It’s a perfect place to take a delightful walk while enjoying the natural beauty of our region!

Is The New Brunswick Bed and Breakfast adults-only?

Our Bed & Breakfast is suitable for adults only

Is The New Brunswick Bed and Breakfast quiet?

Set in the most quiet part of town amongst the trees, with sound-proofed walls and floors - and no two rooms adjacent - peacefulness is one of our hallmarks.

Cancellation policy?

Should you find it necessary to cancel your reservation made directly with us, we require notification at least 21 days prior to the arrival date or you will be charged for the full amount of your stay. We will make every effort to re-book rooms cancelled within this time and a full refund will be offered if we are successful. Stays shortened after arrival are subject to the same cancellation policies. Due to the non-refundable fees charged by the credit card company, a $15 service fee per night, per room will be deducted from all refunds for cancelled reservations.

Do you accept one-night reservations?

We gladly accept one-night reservations, but strongly encourage you to spend at least two nights with us to enjoy all the beauty and attractions of St. Andrews by-the-Sea.

How to book a room?

It’s always the lowest guaranteed rate to book directly with us by using the “Book your Stay” button and link in the header or footer to our secure reservation service. Third-party booking platforms will always add extra fees which in turn increases the price for you.
